This has been updated and now includes a checklist for use by students.

Appendix B: Checklist for Transmitting Accepted Manuscripts for Electronic Production
Completely updated to include new electronic advances.

Appendix C: Ethical Standards for the Reporting and Publishing of Scientific Information
This is a new appendix. It provides the APA Ethical Principles relevant to publishing.

Appendix D: References to Legal Materials
Formerly in chapter 3, the references for legal materials have been updated according to the 17th edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. The examples have been numbered and titled to make them easier to find.

Most reference styles that might be used in APA journals have not changed, with the exception of that to unpublished cases, which also provides for the use of paragraph symbols and numbers for text retrieved from LEXIS or Westlaw.

A reference section has been added along with examples for patents.

Appendix E: Sample Cover Letter
This new appendix provides a sample cover letter for a submitted manuscript.
